The Harvia KIP, a favorite among Finns, is a traditional wall-mounted heater in which price and quality meet in a manner that is sure to warm the bather. Reliable and affordable, KIP is also adaptable, as the control switches on the lower part of the heater can be placed on the left or right side or on the front. The innovative built-in control panel at the base of the heater includes a 60-minute timer and thermostat and offers the ability to preset the sauna up to 8 hours of startup delay in advance. To heat your sauna for more than 60 minutes at a time, simply reset your timer.
If the heater output is suitable for the sauna room, it will take about an hour for a properly insulated sauna to reach the required bathing temperature. The sauna stones normally reach the bathing temperature at the same time as the sauna room. A suitable temperature for the sauna room is about 149–176 °F (65–80 °C).
